Pixel 6 Could Come With In-Display Fingerprint Sensor
In-display fingerprint sensors are becoming more common on phones these days, then it doesn't actually come equally a surprise to learn that the upcoming Google Pixel vi could be adopting the characteristic also.
This is according to a serial of screenshots shared on Twitter by Android's Hiroshi Lockheimer. The tweet was later on deleted, but non before screenshots were captured and retweeted past XDA'southward Mishaal Rahman. The screenshots show what appears to be the lockscreen of the Pixel 6 forth with a minor icon with a fingerprint design.
Hiroshi Lockheimer apparently posted (and so deleted) a screenshot from what'south likely the Pixel half-dozen Pro (the prototype resolution was 1440×3200.) The phone is continued to Verizon 5G, likely the carrier'due south sub-6GHz network. Also shown is the position of the UDFPS.

According to Lockheimer's tweet, he was just showing off wallpapers, but mayhap he was secretly teasing us. Also, every bit Rahman points out, the screenshot shows the phone connected to Verizon'due south 5G network, indicating that the Pixel 6 could take support for sub-6GHz 5G connectivity.
That being said, we suppose an in-display sensor was kind of obvious. The renders of the phone that Google had previously shared did non seem to give any indication of an external sensor, but this screenshot seemingly proves it. Google still hasn't mentioned a date of when the phone will be launched, but we'll keep our optics peeled.
